Billions of tablets are produced on a daily basis by compacting
pharmaceutical powders. Pharmaceutical compactors provide a continuous
process of densifying or agglomerating of various powdery and
crystalline material without the need of binders or liquids. These
machines increase the bulk density of products to provide better
handling and flow properties of products. Ideally suited for accurately
compacting pharmaceutical powders in small quantities, these compacting
machines have a product hopper for feeding the material, a horizontal
and vertical feeding screw for de-aerating and pre-compacting of
material. The product is finally fed into the compacting zone, where the
product is trapped between the seals to prevent product leakage.
Pharmaceutical machinery needs frequent cleaning, so these compactors
are designed to provide easy changeover and ease of removal of rollers
