Cone blenders are used to mix and granulate dry powders. This
industrial blender derives its name from the shape of its body. One of
the oldest technical blender, these machines are extensively used in the
pharmaceutical industry to granulate and blend medicated powders. Cone
blending machine is better than the conventional horizontal blenders as
the shape of blender results in complete discharge of the product
material. Material is loaded into the machine through a wide opening and
is discharged through a mucon or slide valve. Certain cone blenders are
provided with paddle type baffles on the shaft for better mixing. This
conical shaped blender ensures a homogeneous mix of particles, which can
