Homogenizer

Pharmaceutical homogenizers, also known as micronizers are used to reduce the size of pharmaceutical products. These machines are essential to manufacture medicinal creams and lotions of required texture and helps to create more stable products as compared to other equipments such as stirrers, agitators or colloid mills. The uniformity in particle size is achieved by applying pressure and stress. Homogenizers ensure a product with higher stability, a longer shelf life and a clinically more effective product.

A solution or suspension is introduced into the homogenizing equipment, which is forced through a special valve at extremely high pressure. The large particles are reduced to a smaller size according to the application. High pressure homogenizer ensure efficient use of active agents, thereby reducing the production cost.
