Magnetic stirrers are one of the most used magnetic mixer in
pharmaceutical industry. The mixing equipment consists of an impeller,
bearing, welding plate, drive unit and control box for efficient and
high quality mixing of raw material and particles. A magnetic stirrer
consists of a small bar magnet, also known as stir bar; this plastic
coated bar magnet is placed in a vessel for efficiently stirring
liquids. The rapidly rotating magnetic field causes the bar magnet to
spin at a high speed. Magnetic stirring vessels are preferred over motor
driven stirrers as they are more efficient, have no moving parts that
break down or wear out and are quieter. Being small in size, these
stirrers are easy to maintain, clean and sterilize than other devices.
As opposed to the motor driven stirrers, magnetic stirrers do not
