A PH meter is a type of voltmeter with high impedance of the input
channels. The high impedance is necessary because of high resistance of
the PH glass electrode used with Ph meters. PH is a measure of acidity
or alkalinity. The amount of hydrogen ions cause a liquid to either be
acidic(high concentration of hydrogen ions) or alkaline (low
concentration of hydrogen ions). With the advancement in technology
conventional glass Ph testing equipment have been replaced with non
glass silicon chip sensor PH equipment in various industries. These
equipments are used for continuous monitoring or analyzing of the PH
balance. Application of PH Meter
- Pharmaceutical
- Agriculture
- Wine
- Soil testing
- Food products such as butter and yogurt
