Rotary tablet press are used for pressing various granular/powdered raw
material into shaped tablets or compacts. Also known as multi-station
tableting presses, rotary tablet press make use of a punch and die
system together with multiple stations or punches for compacting raw
material into tablets. These machines have a series of tool sets or
stations arranged in a ring in a rotary turret and rotate at high speed.
Force is the determining factor in this pharmaceutical equipment which
controls the degree to which the materials may be compacted. Types of Rotary Tablet Press
Single Sided Tablet Press : A single sided rotary press consists of a die table producing single tablet per station for each revolution.
Double Sided Tablet Press : A double sided rotary press consists of a rotating multi station die table producing two tablets per station for each revolution. Dies are fed at two places 180 degree apart to ensure that the dies are always full.
