Water for injection or WFI vessels are specialized vessels, meant for
manufacturing WFI and are critical for any pharmaceutical manufacturing
facility. These vessels ensure that the water is treated properly and
all contaminants are removed, leaving WFI quality water. WFI vessels can
use methods such as distillation, reverse osmosis, membrane processes to
manufacture WFI quality water. WFI vessels making use of membrane
technology are not as effective as the ones using distillation due to
the risks involved in membrane processes. These vessels strip water of
dissolved ionic materials, particles, colloids and non-volatile organic
material. The distillation process also removes bacterial endotoxins. Application of WFI Vessel
